Mode:
There are four buttons allow the user to select from 4 different "modes": FT-IN (foot inch and fractions ), Inch ( inch and fractions), DEC (decimal), and MM (millimeter). The current selected mode will be indicated with a blue button, while the other buttons will indicate a green color (signaling that the button can be depressed). Note, during computations, these buttons will be disabled and turn red until an operation is performed (+, -, =, etc). Normally conversions take place after a series of computations, but occasionally a user may want to just enter a number and perform a conversion. For example, convert 4'-3 1/2" to inch, decimal, or mm. The user would enter 4'-3 1/2" and press the "=" key, the mode buttons would become enabled and the user selects inch, dec, or mm.

How to input data:
Entering input in the FT-IN mode: The input key stokes have been optimized for the fewest key stokes possible and will be equal to the qty of digits that represent the feet, the foot mark, one key for the inch, and one key for the fraction. So for example, 12'-11 15/16" will be entered with 5 key inputs: "1", "2", "FT", "11", and "15/16". Additionally, thirty-seconds of an inch can be entered with the same amount of keystrokes. If the user wishes to access the x/32 buttons, just rotate the calculator in your hand "counterclockwise" (approximately 10 degrees). The x/32" buttons will appear over the x/16th keys. If the user just wants x/16, no rotation is required.

Note that  the keys change after the "ft" button is pressed, exposing the "10" and "11" keys. Also note that after one of the inches are selected that all of the fraction keys are displayed. It is at this point where the user can rotate the calculator and the x/32 keys are exposed.

Entering input in the INCH mode: The input key stokes have been optimized for the fewest key stokes possible and will be equal to the qty of digits that represent the inches, the inch mark, and one key for the fraction. So for example, 11 15/16" will be entered with 4 key inputs: "1", "1", "INCH",  and "15/16".

Note that  the keys change after the "in" button is pressed, all of the fraction keys are displayed.

Note: the current mode effects how the data is displayed on the main calculator view, the triangle input view and the triangle results view.

STO:
There are three storage areas for triangle input. STO 1, STO 2, and STO 3.
Whatever value is presently displayed will be stored in any of the three storage locations.
